Some people are just too serious about everything. They barely smile, laugh or joke. Yeah, I know we all got issues of life to deal with, but how many of us can add a cubid to his or her height by worrying? None! Worrying has never been able to solve anything in time past, it wouldn’t start now!.
Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say. Rejoice- Phillipians 4:4. The emphasis on “again” in the verse is intended to draw our attention to how important it is to rejoice no matter how difficult the situation is.
Rejoicing in all things is expedient, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t mourn with those that are mourning, or not to bear one anothers pain, (Romans 12:15 admonishes us to “rejoice with those that do rejoice and weep with them that weep”) It’s simply trusting that God is moving through that situation and circumstances and you choose to “dance” while He works it out.
God has never asked us to do anything without having a reason. If He is asking us to rejoice, then it’s because He is causing all things to work for our good. He wants us to look beyond our worries and trust him. I find that relieving believe me. Each time we worry, a lot of things go wrong. How? Our spirit gets broken, we loose our joy, we loose focus and often times, destroy the happiness of those around us.
So many people are tied to our loins,if we fail, they fail. A smile from us means the world to them. You may never know until you are no longer with them. Proverbs 17:22 “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine but a broken spirit drieth the bones.
We can’t change anything by worrying, murmuring, complaining or being sad….So, relax and start rejoicing. It’s not over yet, till God says it’s over.
