There’s this saying in Africa that “a pregnant woman never says she’s pregnant to everyone, only supportive people.” She also doesn’t reveal her due date, but only to well-meaning people with good intentions. In life, you need to learn to share what matters with people that count. Quit keeping it to yourself.

You see, dreams and visions are like pregnancy. You can’t afford to announce to the community your insights. You may never live to see it happen. Lions do not move around with goats. Search out the right people and reach out to them. Quit keeping it to yourself.

Yet, I am here to encourage you to share your dreams and visions with supportive people. Do not share with negative people. They have a knack for weakening passion and excitement.

Don’t keep your dreams and visions to yourself anymore.

As you begin to make changes in your life, don’t burden yourself with making endless lists of your vision and not sharing them with supportive people that will help make them a reality.

We all need somebody, including the strongest of us.
As you commit to running daily with your goals and visions, be committed to sharing them with people that matter.

It sounds hard. I know. But sharing your plans with well-meaning people will help make it a reality and bring you close to it.

Quit playing it safe. Speak to the people that share the same vision as you starting today.
What’s the worst that can happen?

Blessings and Love ❤️

3 Thoughts on “Quit Keeping It To Yourself”

  • Exactly. When I started out on Self-help last year, I started this blog, but I couldn’t tell anyone. As a result I had no traffic, and so I decided to stop writing. What I think I could have done to avoid this would be to connect with people of the same passion like me and maybe they would have motivated me to not stop.

Have always read your pieces since last year. My friend Maxwell introduced me to you. Your writings have an impact to me. Thank you so much Edna.

    • We become like the people we associate with, and that’s why we must choose our close associations carefully.

I’m honored to hear you say such kind words to me Gitahi. Maxwell is an amazing young man and I am proud of him. Knowing he is your friend, am sure I will warm up to you soon.

Please keep in touch. And never stop striving to be the best version of yourself always.
