Everyone loves a good comeback story, yet there will be no comebacks without the power of resilience.
Resilience provides you with the power to recognize and adapt to situations, move, and grow irrespective of life’s downturns. We will address the four powerful ways to bouncing back and becoming resilient.

Have you got resilience?

Resilience is the power of an item to return to form after it’s been bent, stretched, or squeezed. Think about the pressure balls you see on some of your colleague’s desks in the office; no matter how hard you grip those things, they always find a way to return to their initial shape. They have resilience.

Chances are we’ve been hit by the storms of life at some point in our lives. There are people who, no matter what happens to them, always seem to bounce back. Life can stretch us to our breaking point, but we must always find a way back to our original shape.

That can only happen when we master the art of RESILIENCE.

As a leader, one of the traits I have learned over the years and has proven to be more useful to me with time is resilience. The capacity to shake back from disappointment often makes the difference between losing and winning. As the saying goes, you only lose if you give up.

As you aim to be resilient, endeavor to be realistic with your dreams, pursuits, and achievements. When we master the ability to build and commit to realistic pursuits, we minimize the tendencies of being stuck in our pain.
Learn to manage your emotions when they threaten to overwhelm you, only then will your healing process begin.

We also become legally deaf to thoughts of us being worthless, not good enough, and falling into depression. Becoming resilient, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, developing healthy self-confidence, and morale are possible.

Yet, it won’t happen overnight. It can take a while, making you live on the razor’s edge. But it can be done.
You have to get up every day, face your demons, and determine to not let them beat you.

Are you interested in developing resilience?

Yes? Then…
* Be open to failure and critics- Failure is not the opposite of success as proposed by many, it is a part of the success journey. Learn to embrace your failures and bounce back. Do not focus on the problem, rather wield the intrinsic power and focus of your mind to seize the whip around the feeling of failure you feel. Use it as your strength.

You can bounce back from failure, but first, you need to have a change of mindset.

* Be committed to growth and development- Constant fixation on your problems will truncate any growth and development we may have envisaged. Learn to turn your challenges into stepping stones to achieving your goals and becoming the best version of yourself.

* Be committed to adding value to yourself and others- Not everyone is committed to adding values especially when the reward they get for all their efforts is discouraging.
Nevertheless, those who look past their setbacks and went ahead to remain committed to adding values have become the hallmark of success today.

You too can become one. Just start adding value to yourself and everyone around you.

* Learn through adversities – There is always advancement in adversaries. It doesn’t make a difference how many times you fail, nor how painful those failures are. What counts is what you do after you are hit with adversity. Quit allowing adversities to discourage you.

Life will always be irregular. It’s a given. The good news is that there is no fall you can’t bounce back from.
Trust me, you are a lot stronger than you give yourself credit for.

Blessings and Love ❤️
