Have you ever wondered how you are going to enjoy your life now and have the strength for tomorrow if you are not healthy? Ever wondered if you will be able to witness the birth of your grandchildren if you are not healthy nor taking good care of yourself? At the end of the day, if you are not healthy physically, you can’t​ be healthy mentally, spiritually or otherwise.
  3 John 1:2″ Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”
It’s Gods greatest Desire that you be in good health​ and prosper. You walking in divine health brings Glory to his name. Wondering how you can walk in divine health?

Here is a simple prescription: Proverbs 4:20-23: “My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh. Keep your heart with all diligence; for out of it spring the issues of life.” Search the scriptures and discover ways to live healthy. For every time you study the world, you increase the joy in your heart and remember Proverbs 17:22 says, “A merry heart does good, like medicine.” 
I have learnt that one of the major reasons many people do not enjoy their lives is the simple fact that they do not feel strong, healthy, and vibrant. They are often tired, sick, or struggling with some other ailment or affliction. Most of our physical problems can be solved if our health is improved. If we eat right, exercise, drink lots of water, get enough sleep, create time to rest and relax.
If we desire to be healthy then we must bear in mind that we can’t​ and may not be able to do what everyone else is doing. Our lifestyle will have to change for instance, eating late at night, eating junks and starving ourselves all in the name of maintaining our shape.
To be honest, there are times when i want to stay up and eat late night junks, watch late night movies and have fun but then i remember… Tomorrow, it will tell on me, my tummy, and my health in general. I don’t feel alright if i don’t sleep on time, considering the fact that i have to wake up in the early hours of the morning to do my writings. I discovered lately, that when i don’t feel strong and healthy i don’t function properly. So, i do whatever it takes to live healthy and stay healthy.
Philippians 4: 10 reminds me that i have to make the right choices that will help be healthy and stay healthy so i can enjoy my time here on earth.
How can you stay healthy? The first step to being healthy is to first realise how important it is. After all, you only have one life and one body right? Your body and life is a gift from God to you. What you do with it matters a lot to him and he will hold you responsible if you fail to take care of it the way you should.
1 Corinthians​ 6:19″  What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?”
Am encouraging you today to take care of yourself.

Drink lots of water. Water comprises of two-thirds of your body? Water is very crucial to our physical health because the human body must have adequate fluid to function properly. Just as the car needs water despite having fuel inside, so the human body needs water despite the intake of foods.

Eat healthily. Food is the fuel that the body needs to function and stay balanced. Nutritious diet is​ paramount to our well being. Try and avoid excessive carbohydrate foods. Let everything you eat be in moderation. Avoid late night meals or snacks, carbonated drinks or beverages. Avoid large portion of meals and take more of fruits.

Take a walk, go running or juggling, biking, swimming, tennis, golf, ect but make sure you exercise. No one was created to function at a high speed at all times. At some point in time, we need to take a break and rest. We need to get enough sleep without interruption from anyone or anything.
Oftentimes, a problem that seems so monumental when we are tired, gets easily solved when we get a good sleep.

Whatever the challenges you are facing, whatever the situation may be, make a decision today to stay healthy. There are still people who needs you alive..I do!

  • I give praise to Lord because we met here!
    I’ve read your post in a hurry and the Holy Spirit who talks to us through the Holy Bible spoke to me and made me clear that I can’t go on suffering and living with pain and so little joy in my life.
    St. Paul was once of enormous help with his letters. Sometimes I thought He was talking right to me!
    His Letter to the Romans was the first I had the gift to approach.

    • Your words brought tears to my eyes. I felt like stretching my hands through the phone and reaching out to you and since i could not do that i said a prayer for you.
