Think before you speak

Always Check Your Words Before Speak Them Out. Recently, I came across an inscription on the wall of a friend who did time. He got caught up over a bad decision he made. And it said:

” If I had kept my mouth shut and pondered carefully over what I needed to say before saying it, I wouldn’t be here.”

Sadly, this is true. Most of the trouble we find ourselves in was done with our mouth. What we say, how we say it, where we say it, and who we say it to, is as important as the air we breathe.

Choose to speak positive, motivating, pleasant words to people. Pascal wrote ” Kind words do not cost much. They never blister the tongue or lips. Mental trouble was never known to arise from such quarters. Though they do not cost much, yet they accomplish much. They bring out a good nature in others. They also produce their own image on a man’s soul, and what a beautiful image it is.”

The human tongue has been proven to be a few inches from the brain, but when you listen more than you speak, they seem miles apart. The words you speak can either be your worst enemy or your best friend. Whichever one it is, it will either mar you or make you.

If you’ve got nothing inspiring, encouraging, edifying, reasonable or intelligent to say about anything or to anyone; please shut your mouth.

It wouldn’t hurt you. Think before you speak rather than speak before you think. #think #decision #speakwisely

Good morning. Stay safe.

Blessings and Love ❤️
