Who Is Jesus Christ To You?

This million-dollar question of “who is Jesus Christ”, has sparked up lots of controversies across the world. People form their opinion of Jesus Christ at that time as it suits them, and it is no different today.

One person will say, ” he was a good man,” some others say, “he’s just the son of a carpenter.” Many others concede that he was sent by God, a third regard him as a reformer who wished to improve the world.

“But what about you?”

Jesus Christ isn’t concerned about the many superficial opinions people may have about him. He’s concerned about what you think about him. The question he asked his apostles in Mathew 16 is still open to us all.

When Jesus asked that question, Peter answered: “you are the Christ, the son of the living God.” Peter did not conclude that Jesus is the son of God through any logical argumentation. Nor did he derive the knowledge from any dialogue with other people. God himself brought about this conviction in his heart.

Now someone may imagine that, if such insight depends on God, one can calmly wait and see if he produces it in his case before changing ones own opinion.

The personal question he asked -“But who do you say I am?” penetrates the heart. What other people think of Jesus is irrelevant. What matters is: what do you of him?

How convinced are you about who Jesus Christ is?

You may ask, “where can Jesus Christ be found today?” He can be found in his word. If you wish to learn who Jesus is, you can do so by studying his word. He said it himself that the scriptures testified of Him(cf. John 5:39).
