The new year 2021. Will this year be better than the previous one? We all have difficulties. Troubles arise all around without prior notice, to us all. We have to confirm that nothing has changed for the better. The year 2021 may end up being the same as last year if we repeat the same mistakes.

People are, in fact, just the same. They like to praise their ability to achieve great things. But aren’t they also greedy for power, riches, and cheap pleasure? And to achieve their end, they prove to be evil and cruel, liars and thieves.

God tells us in the Bible that the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked; who can know it? I, the Lord search the heart.”(Jeremiah 17:9). But he also shows us how he can change our hearts. God came among us on earth through Jesus Christ, his son, to give us a new start.

Jesus was the only perfect man in Gods eyes. His pure life, full of love, spotlighted the wickedness of his fellowmen, who nailed him to a cross. Jesus was willing to be judged in our stead. We deserved condemnation and death, but he chose to die in our place.
He now grants eternal life, peace and fellowship with God.

As you prepare your new year resolutions, will you reflect the image I Christ through all you do? Will you make him number one in your plans? Is making heaven part of your new year resolutions?
