Our fast-paced society continually seems to demand more results in less time and to expect more effort despite our depleted energy level. Yet, the mystery of our hope is being made perfect in Jesus Christ.

Where do you turn when you feel like you’ve reached the limit of your ability and the end of your endurance with yourself?

When pain and sorrow overwhelm us in the circumstances of our lives, grief is natural and may seem insurmountable. But we as Christians do not have to grieve as the world grieves.

The hope of Christ reaches into our pain and draws out the bitterness of grief to replace it with the hope that is in him. Like a beam of light in the dark, which grows larger and larger as it comes closer, hope shines brighter and stronger amid our grief when we keep our eyes on Jesus.

When you encounter sorrow, resist the temptation to sink into hopelessness. Keep your eyes on Jesus. You are never alone. You are never abandoned. You are loved. You have a purpose. Happy Sunday ?.
